In this workshop preschoolers create a imaginary city with cardboard boxes. Through developing individual and group assignments, we take architecture as a starting point to discover the sense of space, shapes, color and light.

When each child build his/her fantastic house or the greatest tower we bring the city to live through their characters.

What are the stories behind the walls, doors and curtains ?

Who lives in the city?How will the citizens work, live and celebrate together?

The main objective in this workshop is to stimulate the creative potential in a relationship between the real world and our imaginations.

DRAMA BASICS FOR CHILDREN

Creative Drama Workshop for children from 6 till 12 years old.

In this 2 hours creative drama workshop, children will learn the basics of creative drama. How to use your imagination to develop a story? How to create and play a character? How to present your creation to an audience?

Through an interaction between creative learning and pedagogy, children will learn how to create, play and make theatre together. Different exercises take place in class such as performing repetitive, and looped motions.

By the end of this workshop, the students will have built trust with their fellow performers, explored the possibilities of using voice, movement and physical expression and discovered more about themselves. More info and prices.

In a playful way children become aware of time, rhythm and story patterns. In this workshop children learn how to captivate an audience with a performance on stage. By experimenting with timing, rhythm and narrative structures we investigate what influence this has on the play and the way of acting.

What happens if we speak very slowly?

Children will be introduce into the work of composer Steve Reich.

Dance on his music. Give their personal opinion on his work and make ther own theaterical compositions on stage.
