Four-week series culminating in Short and Sweet Performance at DUCTAC in Feb 2015

Tuesdays, 27 Jan and 3, 10, 17, 24 Feb 2015 / 7pm - 10pm / AED 500

Culminating performance at thejamjar and DUCTAC Short+Sweet Dubai 17 February 2015, Lomm Ensemble New York in collaboration with professional European Theater Director Pascal Buyse.

Over the course of the workshop series, participants will devise their own original ensemble performance. Raphael and Neva will develop the show out of Loom Ensemble's in-house training methods, introducing principles of embodied movement, vocal freedom, and theatrical character development. From concept, to details, to a full theatrical production, it's a delightful, chaotic, collaborative chance to try something new, connect with other Dubai artists, and reconnect to your own creativity.

During these workshop you will playfully discover the actor or actress in yourself. Together we explore the basic skills that an actor has to acquire.

We will work on vocalizations, body awareness, physical and verbal expression, teamwork, the use of characters and emotions.

We do this on basis of text, but also improvisations. We go step by step and proceed to build a pleasant and motivating group atmosphere.

Every dramatic creation during the workshops, spontaneous or elaborate, elementary or complex, aims to make a work of art and quality theatre.

The participants explore their acting skills by working together and by creating a imagined environment.
